If you make such waterproof housings use lots of vaseline on the ohrings. ( I always use 2 of them ) And do not silicon based products as that softens them fast.

Habe letztens ein Video mit einer Frontkonstruktion der Russen gesehen. Die haben eine ganz gewöhnliche Drohne, mit 4 Propellern, komplett in das Propeller-Gutter eines Ventilators eingebaut. Die Drohne konnte so ebenfalls gefahrlos irgendwo anecken.

Engineering Design and Computing Laboratory (EDAC) in ETH bought a brick machine from our company last year, for a programme in Morocco. We are really pround to be a supplier of the world first class university. We delivered the machine to Casablanca as they required. The consignee Mr MOUKMIR OUSSAMA is a partner of EDAC. However, Oussama has problem in making custom clearance, he hold the bill of lading and refused to communicate with EDAC or the shipping company. EDAC and us made many effort in solving the clearance. But all effort ended in failure because the consignee take no reaction. In the meanwhile, the machine was kept at the port and bring a lot of demurrage cost. The demurrage is caused by the consignee, EDAC should be responsible for their partner. The shipping company reduced the final demurrage cost ($7000), but EDAC refused to pay the demurrage.

All that extra piping and connectors make it too heavy. It'll require stronger motors and a larger battery, which will only add to the weight. A more efficient method could be to remove the pipes and install tilting motors instead. And surround the props with a cage if they need protection.

Although the idea is novel, but there’s more point of failures introduced. The gearing for the nozzle directional control is a point of failure . If you want some real world examples… the tail rotor gear box failure is the most common cause of helicopter accidents. There is also potentially more complex computational requirements compared to simpler propeller speed control.

Very interesting, but confession time, it has left me craving GIANT macaroni! 🤔
